There are a Lot of Happenings Happening
Last night I was lying in bed watching the moon rise, pondering and praying.
This morning, I’m sitting here with coffee in hand, still thinking.
There are a lot of happenings happening around here lately.
A pretty big transition is coming up in my life. Some of it I’m ready for. Some of it I’m still figuring out. And some of it I’m not quite ready to talk about yet.
Ruger, of course, does not give a crap about any of this.
As long as I remain the recipient of his ball-playing activities, his world is perfectly fine.
There comes a time in life when things change.
I actually adore change—as long as I’m the one driving it. 😂
If I’m not driving it, well... there is usually some cursing and screaming involved first. Eventually I settle down, mold myself around whatever changed, and carry on.
But this time, I’m steering.
I’ve spent a lot of years building my life around work.
And lately I’ve been thinking about what happens when I turn that around.
What happens when I start building the work around my life?
There are projects around here I want to do. Places I still want to go. Things I want to make. Things I want to try. And probably a whole bunch of things I haven’t even thought of yet.
There’s a lot of life I haven’t made room for.
Maybe that's part of what this little corner of The Pool Gal Chronicles is going to become.
Not another place where everything has to have a purpose.
Not everything needs to teach you something.
Sometimes I might show you something I'm building. Sometimes it might be something I'm cooking. Sometimes it might be an adventure. Sometimes it might just be a beautiful moon coming up over the property while I sit there thinking about life.
And sometimes it'll probably just be Ruger.
Because no matter what major life transition I think I'm having...
apparently, the ball still needs to be thrown.
